Aim
Woodland Daycare aims to:
- To create an effective partnership with parents.
- To provide a caring environment where children grow in confidence.
- To create a broad, balanced curriculum following Guidelines in the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum Guidance 2017/ 2000/2008’
- To plan for child-initiated experiences and adult-led teaching methods.
- To observe, record and assess children’s responses.
- To monitor the child’s progress and to provide support.

Provide high-quality care and education for children between the ages of 2-5 years old.

Recognise and Support children for whom English is an additional language in gaining greater confidence in using the English language.

Prepare children for the transition from Woodland Daycare to Reception year using basic literacy and numeracy skills, using the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

Create an atmosphere that encourages the development of desirable behaviour and social skills, as well as emotional and intellectual well being.

Inform and provide information for parents/carers of services and support available in the wider community.
