Woodland Daycare aims to:

  •  Recognise and Support children for whom English is an additional language in gaining greater confidence in using the English language. 

  • Prepare children for the transition from Woodland Daycare to Reception year using basic literacy and numeracy skills, using the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. 

  • Create an atmosphere that encourages the development of desirable behaviour and social skills, as well as emotional and intellectual well being. 

  • Inform and provide information for parents/carers of services and support available in the wider community.
