Aim

Woodland Daycare aims to:

  • To create an effective partnership with parents.
  • To provide a caring environment where children grow in confidence.
  • To create a broad, balanced curriculum following Guidelines in the ‘Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum Guidance 2017/ 2000/2008’
  • To plan for child-initiated experiences and adult-led teaching methods.
  • To observe, record and assess children’s responses.
  • To monitor the child’s progress and to provide support.
  • Manager to monitor staff’s delivery of curriculum

  • Provide high-quality care and education for children between the ages of 2-5 years old. 

  • Work in partnership with parents to support children in their learning and development. 

  • Improve the life and well being of its stakeholders and local community. 

  • Offer children and their parents a service that respects, recognises and promotes equality and diversity. 

  •  Recognise and Support children for whom English is an additional language in gaining greater confidence in using the English language. 

  • Prepare children for the transition from Woodland Daycare to Reception year using basic literacy and numeracy skills, using the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum. 

  • Create an atmosphere that encourages the development of desirable behaviour and social skills, as well as emotional and intellectual well being. 

  • Inform and provide information for parents/carers of services and support available in the wider community.

  • Is in a setting in which parents/cares help to shape the service it offers. 

Will have access to other multi-agency services to achieve the five outcomes of Every Child Matters and the Early Years Foundation Stage.
